Luzdoc has existed in Vila da Luz since 1981 as a simple doctors surgery. In 1983 the current Managing Director, Dr Maria Alice Pestana Serrano e Silva, began to work at the surgery, and from then it rapidly grew in size with more specialists and services available.By 1994 it reached company status, acquiring the name of Luzdoc.
In May 2001 the premises expanded making it possible for Luzdoc to diversify the kind of support offered to clients thus meeting the needs of the increasing population.
